FAQ:

Do I need to bring anything?

The only things we require you to bring are yourself and a friendly attitude. That being said, we encourage you to bring any projects you’re working on. Paintings, textile projects, jewelry, writing, electronic devices for digital art or creative coding, etc are all encouraged.

What if I don’t have a project to work on?

You are not required to show up with a specific project in mind. If you have a sketchbook, we encourage you to bring it. We can provide basic artistic materials for anyone who doesn’t have materials of their own. (Paper, pencils/pens, basic acrylic paints/brushes, colored pencils)

Do I need to have a certain skill level to attend?

Nope! We encourage artists of all skill levels. We believe no one should be restricted from a collaborative creative space. Every artist can learn from another, whether it be in technical skill, creative vision, or something else entirely. Everyone has something to bring to the table.

If you’re a complete beginner and don’t know where to start, we are happy to guide you and have beginner-friendly resources.

I have to arrive late or leave early. Is that okay?

Yes, you are welcome to come and go as you would like. Our door will be open during the entire duration.

Important policies to be aware of:

  • Be courteous of others in the building. Since our door will be open, others sharing the hallway will be able to hear us.

  • While we encourage most areas of artistic expression, the use of LLMs and large-scale generative AI to generate creative content is prohibited. Small-scale generative AI (generative/content-aware fill, spellcheck, etc.) for editing is allowed. Please use judgement that respects human artists and the environment when using artificial intelligence.

  • Food is welcome. Please bring your own utensils and plan to bring any dirty dishes home with you. If you have any allergies, please e-

  • Be respectful of our space. Clean up after yourself before leaving for the night.

  • Compliments are always welcome. Ask permission before offering critiques or advice to others.
